April is Earth Month, and we all need to do our part to ensure that we’re taking care of the planet. Zarges cases are known for their long life and durability, so when you buy a Zarges case, you’re contributing to reducing your carbon footprint. The 3 R’s of sustainability and waste management are well-known - reduce, reuse, and recycle. Zarges cases allow you to reduce and reuse, and typically don’t require recycling due to their long lifespan.

Here’s why buying a Zarges case is environmentally sensible.

Material. Zarges cases are made from high-quality, 100% recyclable aluminum. According to the Aluminum Association, nearly 75% of all aluminum produced is still in use today. Because aluminum is lighter weight, it requires less fuel to ship, reducing your shipping costs as part of the bargain. As well, our cases have more capacity than the leading plastic cases, meaning you can use fewer cases to ship your necessities. Lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant, aluminum is a durable material that will last decades no matter the elements.

Reusability. We have heard many stories about our cases lasting decades doing dirty jobs for ski techs, sound technicians, the military, and more. While we love the sleek look of a brand-new Zarges case, a faithful, broken-in Zarges case that has withstood the test of time and won will always have a place in our hearts. Our cases survive multiple missions, and they are easy to clean. In fact, aluminum has been shown to be an excellent antimicrobial.

Lightweight. Zarges cases are made from lightweight aluminum, making them easier and more cost-effective to ship than leading plastic cases - and helping you reduce your carbon footprint. Their streamlined design also allows you to pack them to the edges, meaning more gear in each case and more efficient packing.

Long life. Our cases are designed to last for decades no matter the conditions. They won’t crack or break after a hard fall, and they can withstand temperatures at both ends of the mercury. The longevity of Zarges cases (see picture of a case used for decades by a ski tech) ensures that they simply don’t need to be replaced as often as plastic cases. Less waste and longer life means a product that is better for the environment as well as your bottom line.

Battle-tested and repairable. Our cases are designed to be easily repaired if they are damaged. The stacking corners and hinges have been repeatedly tested to ensure that they can withstand any conditions you throw their way. If your Zarges case breaks, we’ve got the resources to help you fix it - or, most likely, you’ll be able to do it yourself.

Recyclable. If a Zarges case reaches the end of its useful life, take heart in the fact that it is made of fully recyclable materials. We don’t hear of this happening often (usually a case such as this that has been through the rigors is simply put out to pasture), but if need be, you can recycle the aluminum in your case to make the next generation of Zarges cases.

Aside from the individual cases that we are so proud to manufacture, our company also takes an active role in making environmentally conscious business decisions. Read more on our website to learn about our commitment to sustainability!
