ZARGES K424 XC ROLLER CASE NAMED GERMAN DESIGN AWARD WINNER FOR 2017

The German Design Council recognized the ZARGES K424 XC roller case as a winner in the “Universal Design” and “Workshops and Tools” categories. The K424 XC is the mobility solution for convenient, secure transport. Combining the high product quality customers have come to expect from traditional ZARGES cases with an innovative mobility solution, the K424 XC features built-in casters and a retractable telescopic handle integrated in the frame under the case, which does not intrude upon the spacious interior or impede its practical stackability.

The German Design Award is the premium international award for design. Its aim: to discover, present and recognize unique design trends. This is why each year top-notch submissions from the field of product and communications design – all pioneers of the international design landscape in their own right – receive recognition. Initiated in 2012, the German Design Award is among the most prestigious design competitions around the world and is widely respected in professional circles and beyond.

The German Design Award is presented by the German Design Council, Germany’s leading brand and design foundation, established in 1953 on the initiative of the German Parliament. The organization helps business achieve consistent brand value through design. This makes the German Design Council one of the world’s leading competency centres for communication and brand leadership in the field of design.

Introduced last year, to many accolades, the K424 XC roller case marries the popular design of ZARGES cases with outstanding value. Thanks to the built-in casters, even heavy loads can be transported easily and securely. The secret lies in the sturdy frame under the case, which conceals both the built-in casters and the telescopic handle. Optionally mountable 5″ plastic wheels or 8 2/3″ air-filled rubber tires ensure even better handling in rough terrain, and make the case mobile even on uneven or sandy surfaces. All versions of the roller case retain the full, spacious interior and can also be stacked with ease. The K424 XC is available in six different sizes and can be customized to meet specific requirements with additional accessories, including inner liners, lid pockets and custom foam solutions.

The case is particularly popular with sports teams, photographers and service technicians as a material case and toolcase, and with aid organizations, as it ensures easy transport of equipment.
